I wanted to do something that showed what Bartlesville had to offer," says Hart, the organizer of the Bartlesville Health & Beauty Makeover project."I thought that a good way to do this was through having a personal makeover for a deserving person in the community.
BMW cars that you can't crash
London: German automobile manufacturer BMW has installed the Active Cruise Control system in its 5 and 6 Series cars, which automatically stops the vehicle to avert an accident without having to use the breaks.
The system uses a radar beam to constantly measure the distance to the vehicles in front of it. A driver can set the desired speed and distance to be maintained from the car in front, and then sit back and do next to nothing.
Once activated, the system enables the car to drive on its own, with the only exception that the driver needs to control the steering. It can slow the vehicle a complete stop when necessary, and later scoot back up to the set speed as soon as traffic allows.
The system breaks the car even when someone veers across three lanes to cut you off.

Content is automatically downloaded by the software client via wireless data connection. In a press release, Eric Lang, general manager of the MSN Direct initiative said, "This is the first time MSN Direct content has been made available to mobile phones, and it is a strong next step for the delivery of MSN Direct content where customers have said they need it the most. We are excited about the opportunities this new application will bring to mobile operators, consumers and the industry." The MSN Direct application is free to download and is available as a CAB installer for download.
